Last updated: 20 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data BatumiWave collects, why we use it, and what rights you have. BatumiWave is a catalog of yachts, boats and sea activities in Batumi. We are not a charter company and we do not take payment for bookings.

Who is responsible

The controller of personal data on this website is BatumiWave, 3 Gogebashvili St, Batumi 9001, Georgia.

Contact: hello@batumiwave.com, phone +995 557 61 27 55.

What data we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the catalog and answer requests.

  • Contact form: name, email, phone (if you provide it) and message.
  • Reviews: name, rating and review text. We do not ask for an email on the review form.
  • Usage data via Google Analytics: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, traffic source.
  • Language preference: a cookie that remembers the site language.
  • Currency preference: stored in the browser (localStorage), not on our servers.
  • Spam protection: we may process IP address and request time for a short period to limit abusive review submissions.

Why we use this data

  • To answer questions from guests and listing requests from owners.
  • To moderate and, if published, display reviews on listing pages.
  • To understand which pages are useful and to improve the catalog.
  • To remember language and currency so the site stays readable.
  • To protect the site from spam and automated abuse.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We do not pass guest contacts to vessel owners unless you contact the owner yourself through the phone, WhatsApp, Telegram or other details shown on the listing.

We use service providers that process data on our behalf:

  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) for site statistics.
  • Email delivery (SMTP) to receive contact form messages and review notifications.
  • Telegram, only for internal notices that someone opened owner contacts on a listing. These notices do not include your name or phone number.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies for language and, when Analytics is enabled, for statistics. Details are in the Cookie Policy. Currency preference is stored locally in your browser and is not a cookie.

How long we keep data

  • Contact form messages: as long as needed to reply and keep a record of the request, then deleted or archived.
  • Published reviews: while the listing is on the site, or until we remove the review.
  • Analytics: according to Google Analytics retention settings.
  • Spam-prevention IP records: in server memory for a short time (minutes), not as a long-term database.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing. EU and EEA visitors may also have GDPR rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Georgia has a personal data protection law. To use these rights, email hello@batumiwave.com.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child sent us personal data, write to hello@batumiwave.com and we will delete it.
